Bedrock Player Manager

The new version of the “Bedrock Player Manager” is available.
With many new features including Floodgate 2.0 support.

If you upgrade from a version below 1.4 a new config.yml will be generated and the old one will be renamed (to [date]_[time]_old.config.yml). You need to take over your configuration options manually. Afterwards you can delete the old config file and start your Minecraft sever.

Features

  • Supports custom join and quit commands for Java, Bedrock or all players.
  • Support for Luckperms and Vault compatible permission plugins to add a custom permission group for Bedrock players.
  • Full PlaceholderAPI support for join and quit commands.
  • Definable execution delay (in ticks) for join command execution and permission group assignment.
  • Works with Geyser/Floodgate single server, Bungee/Waterfall networks and Geyser standalone setups.
  • Support for Geyser Floodgate version 1.x and 2.x
  • Reload command to change the configuration “on the fly” (no server restart needed)
  • Command execution (upon joining or quitting) can now be performed in solo mode without Floodgate. (If you wanna use it just for regular join/leave commands without Geyser)
  • Fully compatible with Spigot and Paper server starting from 1.8 and higher

Usecase examples

  • Add custom pre- or suffixes to Bedrock or Java players. For example via Luckperms prefix.
  • Bypass anti cheat checks for Bedrock players. Most anti cheat plugins allow bypassing checks via permissions.
  • Allow or deny features, commands, game types or worlds based on the client type.
  • Give items on start or move Bedrock players to another spawn.

You can do literately anything by using custom join and quit commands or by assigning permissions based on the client type of a player.

Download the “Bedrock Player Manager” plugin jar and put it into the plugin directory of your Spigot or Paper server.

If you are using more than one server, repeat this step for each individual server!

If you are using a Bungee, Waterfall or Velocity network, make sure to install the “Bedrock Player Manager” plugin on each spigot/paper server of your network (but do not install it on the proxy server).

Keep in mind: you also have to install Floodgate on your proxy server and also on each connected spigot/paper server, because we need the Floodgate API to detect Bedrock players. In this case follow the Floodgate instruction (click here for more information).

If you are not using a proxy network but run a single server setup – follow the instruction how to install Floodgate for a single server (click here for more information).

After you have successfully installed the “Bedrock Player Manager” and Floodgate properly you can fire up the server to generate the plugins configuration. By default all “Bedrock Player Manager” modules are disabled.

You can use the “/bpm reload” command to update your configuration on the fly (without restart). You will need the “bedrockplayermanager.reload” permission to execute this command as player.

The command module will work directly as long as Floodgate is available or even without Floodgate, if you just wanna use the join/quit commands for all of your players (unrelated to their client type).

Please follow the respective explanations in the comments of my plugins configuration file (config.yml).

If you wanna use the permission module, make sure that Luckperms or Vault (depending on your config selection) has been installed on every server that you wanna use with my plugin.

Please follow the respective explanations in the comments of my plugins configuration file (config.yml).

If you wanna use the PlaceholderAPI within your commands, make sure that the PlaceholderAPI plugin is available on each related server.

Please follow the respective explanations in the comments of my plugins configuration file (config.yml).

If you wanna use the “Bedrock Player Manager” without Floodgate as regular join/quit command plugin, deactivate all module except of “join_commands.all” or “quit_commands.all“. This two modules can run independently and do not need Floodgate at all. In this case you can skip the installation of Geyser and Floodgate entirely.

Please follow the respective explanations in the comments of my plugins configuration file (config.yml).

You can use the “/bpm reload” command to update your configuration on the fly (without restart). You will need the “bedrockplayermanager.reload” permission to execute this command as player.
