If you upgrade from a version below 1.4 a new config.yml will be generated and the old one will be renamed (to [date]_[time]_old.config.yml). You need to take over your configuration options manually. Afterwards you can delete the old config file and start your Minecraft sever.
You can do literately anything by using custom join and quit commands or by assigning permissions based on the client type of a player.
1. Download and install
Download the “Bedrock Player Manager” plugin jar and put it into the plugin directory of your Spigot or Paper server.
If you are using more than one server, repeat this step for each individual server!
2. Bungee, Waterfall and Velocity networks
If you are using a Bungee, Waterfall or Velocity network, make sure to install the “Bedrock Player Manager” plugin on each spigot/paper server of your network (but do not install it on the proxy server).
Keep in mind: you also have to install Floodgate on your proxy server and also on each connected spigot/paper server, because we need the Floodgate API to detect Bedrock players. In this case follow the Floodgate instruction (click here for more information).
3. Single server setups
If you are not using a proxy network but run a single server setup – follow the instruction how to install Floodgate for a single server (click here for more information).
4. Config generation
After you have successfully installed the “Bedrock Player Manager” and Floodgate properly you can fire up the server to generate the plugins configuration. By default all “Bedrock Player Manager” modules are disabled.
You can use the “/bpm reload” command to update your configuration on the fly (without restart). You will need the “bedrockplayermanager.reload” permission to execute this command as player.
5. Command module
The command module will work directly as long as Floodgate is available or even without Floodgate, if you just wanna use the join/quit commands for all of your players (unrelated to their client type).
Please follow the respective explanations in the comments of my plugins configuration file (config.yml).
6. Permission module
7. Placeholder API
If you wanna use the PlaceholderAPI within your commands, make sure that the PlaceholderAPI plugin is available on each related server.
Please follow the respective explanations in the comments of my plugins configuration file (config.yml).
8. Solo mode (without Floodgate)
If you wanna use the “Bedrock Player Manager” without Floodgate as regular join/quit command plugin, deactivate all module except of “join_commands.all” or “quit_commands.all“. This two modules can run independently and do not need Floodgate at all. In this case you can skip the installation of Geyser and Floodgate entirely.
Please follow the respective explanations in the comments of my plugins configuration file (config.yml).
9. Reload command
You can use the “/bpm reload” command to update your configuration on the fly (without restart). You will need the “bedrockplayermanager.reload” permission to execute this command as player.
You will find the source code on Github (GPL).
